mossto79.jpg (17585 bytes)Mosstowie Single Malt whisky was distilled at Miltonduff Distillery in the plain of Pluscarden or "Garden of Scotland" in Moray. Legend has it that after an ancient Abbot blessed the waters of the black burn, the drink distilled from them was called 'aqua vitae' and the stone on which the Abbot knelt became the site of the Malt mill. In addition to conventional stills it had two Lomond type stills, the product of which is known as Mosstowie.
