"An enjoyable and involving experience for the novice and aficionado alike."
Once again, Society Members are invited to spend a day immersed in malt whisky! The focus of the course is on flavour, where it comes from during the process of making whisky and how you, the whisky drinker, sense and evaluate tastes and flavours.
During the day you will have the chance to try many different types of samples for yourself, some of which are not normally available to those outwith the industry.
The course will be led by Dr. Jim Swan, the leading expert on whisky flavour and composition, and on methods of sensory analysis and, of course, staff from the Society will be there throughout the day.
Registration will commence at 9:00a.m., a delicious lunch will be served and the day will come to a close around 6:00p.m. with drinks and canapés. It is a most rewarding way to spend a Sunday but get plenty of sleep the night beforeyou'll need it! |
