About our offices

The Society offices in Switzerland are in theHaumüli of Embrach. The Haumüli is an old saw- and grain-mill;the present buildings date from the turn of the century, but themill's history goes back more than 500 years. The Societyoccupies only part of the premises, as the buildings belong tothe historical society (roughly equivalent to the National Trustin the UK), and the mills are being restored to working order. The Haumüli is located in a nature preserve, with picnic spotsand many hiking trails in the area. A large room in the mill canbe rented for special events, and the rental fees support theongoing restoration work.
