In Waterloo, südwestlich von Toronto, war früher die Waterloo Brennerei von Seagram's zu Hause. Nachdem die Brennerei stillgelegt und zum Teil abgerissen wurde, blieben nur noch drei Lagerhäuser übrig. Eines von diesen wurde zu einem Museum umgewandelt. In diesem Museum konnte man die alte Einrichtung der Lagerhäuser und Teile der Destillationskolonnen sehen. Aber auch das Museum brachte nicht den erwarteten Erfolg, so daß auch das Museum aufgegeben werden mußte.

Heute beherbergt das alte Museum eine Beratungsfirma, die mit der ehemaligen Einrichtung Ihre Eingangshalle schmückt.

Die Umgebung des ehemaligen Museums entwickelt sich rasch, so daß mit dem Abriß der verbliebenen Lagerhäuser in den nächsten Jahren gerechnet werden muß.

Waterloo in the south-west of Toronto was the former home town of Seagram's. Today (1999) only three warehouses are left after the close down and a partly pull down of the distillery. One of these warehouses was converted into a museum. The museum showed old installations of the warehouses and column stills as well as pot stills. But the museum did not bring the wished success and the museum was given up.

Today the old museum warehouse accommodates a consulting company, which decorates the entrance hall with the exponates.

The surroundings of the former museum develops so fast, that you have to expect a pull down of the remaining warehouses in the next years.
