The first colonists to settle in Kentucky realized that the territory was ideal for the production of whisky. With its perfect mix of limestone springs and excellent corn producing soil, Kentucky was soon making whiskies that were in demand throughout the country. For more than 130 years, people have turned to Early Times for consistent high quality and smooth taste.

Established in 1860, Early Times continues to use its same basic process of distilling, using the same ingredients - crystal clear water, select grains, and a special yeast. After careful distillation, our whisky is matured for at least thirty-six month in both new and reused oak barrels to give it the special smoothness that makes Early Times the whisky that made Kentucky Whiskies famous.
